Valentine's Day is just around the corner so I HAD to do an easy hearts and lace tutorial!

You can use any color combination you like.

The only tools you'll need are your polish, a toothpick, and a striping brush. Dotting tool is optional. A toothpick, the end of a bobby pin or small paintbrush will work just fine as well.

Nail Art for Beginners!

I know, nail art can be intimidating.  No worries!  The more you practice the easier it gets!  I know from experience. 

Here's a nail design that looks more complicated than it actually is!  My 9 year old daughter volunteered for this tutorial.  She has teeny tiny, short nails.  It was a challenge to keep the color on her nail and off her skin.  Nail polish remover is our saving grace in this case.  Just a little bit on a Q-tip and you are back in business!  

I also liked the look of just the color gradient.  Use the same technique and add more colors to make a fantastic look!
